Call Centers in China

CRM magazine offers a brief overview of the China contact center market here:

http://www.destinationcrm.com/articles/default.asp?ArticleID=6399

Among the points made by author Coreen Bailor:

  • Agent positions will increase by 20% a year, according to Datamonitor, through 2009.
  • VoiceXML is projected to overtake touch-tone IVR systems as the dominant platform in the country.
  • The industry is primarily focused on domestic inbound calls currently.

To learn about the obstacles faced by this nascent market, read the article.

Hi,

Where do you plan to put-up your Call Center?

I own, teach and manage a Call Center Training school in the Philippines using the American standard in teaching accent and in training. I've lived in the US for 23 years and I'm an American citizen. There is a huge shortage of manpower supply of Call Center agents. I can help you with that. If you're interested, please email me at carolgwolf@gmail.com.

Also, to anybody out there in China who's interested to hire teachers to teach English, let's work together!

Goodluck!
