Research firm Zinnov suggests that there’s a difference between a multinational firm and a global organization in this blog entry.
The former has "identical units of their domestic business in different countries and markets."
The latter is "one step ahead." The global organization "shares and sources resources on a global basis to provide [a] superior quality product/service at the lowest cost possible."
