*** BOOK LAUNCH *** "Global Services: Moving to a Level Playing Field" Published by the British Computer Society, 2007 By Mark Kobayashi-Hillary & Dr Richard Sykes

This new book takes a close look at the globalisation of services. It examines how services are changing and globalising, using the 'flat world' of Thomas Friedman and the ongoing experience of offshoring and outsourcing. The authors position outsourcing within the context of wider changes in services and explore the way technology is now changing the way companies actually do business.

The launch event is at the London School of Economics on April 30th at 7.15pm. The authors will be joined by LSE Director, Sir Howard Davies, and the UK head of Tata Consultancy Services, AS Lakshmi, to debate the issues raised in the book. The debate is followed by a networking reception. All are welcome to join and there is no cost, but numbers are limited to 250 in the lecture theatre so you do need to register a place. Send your details to bcsmarkhillary.com to register for the event.
