Xpanxion, an Atlanta-based service provider, announced plans to relocate a segment of its software testing operations and quality assurance (QA) program from Pune, India to Kearney, Nebraska. The center is scheduled to open this summer and is expected to employ staff counting in the “dozens,” said the company.

“Cross-Sourcing allows us to parlay the economic value of our programming team in India, the expertise of on-site project managers in Atlanta, and the high work ethic and quality standards of the Nebraska workforce,” said Paul Eurek, Xpanxion’s CEO, a Nebraska native who grew up not far from Kearney. “It also allows us to take advantage of several government incentive programs in Nebraska aimed at increasing the presence of IT industries in rural areas.”

In the past five years alone, $72.6 million in federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding has been invested in 400 projects statewide and has resulted in the creation of 3,000 jobs across the state.
